About

I am seeking my next rotational Officer role on yachts over 80m, where I can develop my skills within a larger team. I take a fair, objective approach to leadership, leading by example and motivating crew through training and a strong safety culture. With almost 10 years on deck behind me, starting from deckhand, I can confidently manage the full spectrum of deck operations (including large tender driving) and I always think ahead to ensure my department is organised. I value clear chains of communication and take great pleasure in encouraging team members to develop their individual strengths. In the bridge, I’m well-versed in running ISM, maintaining a structured PMS and ensure administrative tasks are handled efficiently. I have extensive watchkeeping experience across dual season programs and ‘off the beaten track’ itineraries.

Experience

Chief Officer (joined as 2nd Officer)

Feb 2021 - May 2025
M/Y B3

I joined B3 as 2nd Officer and was promoted to Chief Officer in August 2023. Originally built as a Yacht Support Vessel, B3 was adapted mid-build into a stand-alone guest yacht, operating a dual-season schedule with high owner usage. B3 ran a dual season program and follows voluntary ISM under Bureau Veritas and Isle of Man. I became proficient in IDEA (PMS) and Manage My Vessel under our management company. In addition to routine paperwork, I enjoyed preparing itinerary proposals and presentations for the owner, particularly during our summer trip to Norway. Maintaining guest-yacht standards on a converted support vessel posed unique challenges. I managed tight shipyard periods and surveys across the Netherlands, Italy, and Florida, coordinating contractual works, including a 5-year lightship survey, full repaint and multiple extension projects. B3 had a range of twin screw and outboard tenders, including a 48ft Surface-drive, used for daily guest excursions, which I operated alongside a deckhand. I gained significant experience in heavy crane operations, routinely overseeing the launching of tenders and toys with a 12-tonne crane. While the watersports program was limited, beach setups were frequent and towing operations were a regular occurrence.
