I’m seeking a Deckhand role on a private or charter motor yacht. Growing up by the coast, I spent most of my time at the beach surfing, doing surf lifesaving, and getting involved in all kinds of water sports. I took to competitive swimming and water polo early on and excelled at both. With a professional background in hands-on work, long hours, and face-to-face service, I’m keen to dive in and be part of a hardworking crew. Four years in hospitality taught me to stay calm under pressure, handle demanding guests, and deliver great service with a smile. Before that, I worked in sales, start-ups and a big corporate, where I learned to adapt fast, solve problems on the go, and keep things moving when plans change, skills that translate well to life onboard. I’m driven, down-to-earth, and ready to get stuck into whatever’s needed, whether that’s polishing, line handling, launching toys, or making guests feel at home.

Experience
Deckhand (Dayworker)
Worked within a deck team of 4. Performed a full washdown of the entire vessel’s exterior, including the hull and waterline via the tender. Scrubbed the vessel’s teak, including using K2R Spotlifter to remove stains. Carried out detailing tasks such as polishing, glass & isinglass cleaning and removed corrosion from stainless steel using Star Brite rust remover. Assisted with miscellaneous tasks such as; cleaning the grill and furniture covers, inflated, deflated & stowed away a number of water toys after draining excess water, cleaning the refuse area as well as removing and disposing of garbage and waste from the yacht efficiently, removing and replacing the stickers on all lifebuoys, and assisted with carrying and offloading provisions onboard.
Daywork
Performed multiple full washdowns, ensuring thorough cleaning of the entire vessel’s exterior. Carried out comprehensive polishing of all exterior stainless steel. Assisted with teak maintenance, including scrubbing & brightening. Performed detailing tasks such as window cleaning, chamoising, and spot cleaning to keep the vessel presentation-ready. Prepped boat for owner use, including cushion placement and exterior setup. Supported deck prep for departure and arrival, including stowing equipment and securing loose items.
Client Service Executive
Managed a portfolio of 25 clients across North America and Canada, coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely tax reclaim filings for each account. Led daily/weekly client calls to present feedback and updates on accounts. Trained new staff and provided clients with valuable knowledge relating to the withholding tax industry.
