Vision

As Chief Officer on this 60m commercial yacht, I oversee all deck operations, navigation, and safety procedures while ensuring the vessel operates at the highest standard. Working closely with the Captain, I assist with voyage planning, crew management, and compliance with ISM, ISPS, and MLC regulations. Due to the absence of a 2nd Officer, I have taken on additional responsibilities, including passage planning, bridge watchkeeping, and safety management. I conduct regular drills and safety briefings, mentor and train the deck crew, and coordinate maintenance schedules to uphold the yacht’s operational efficiency. Additionally, I liaise with contractors during refit periods and ensure that all deck operations align with the vessel’s high standards. My role also involves maintaining guest satisfaction by delivering seamless service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Grace

Served as relief Chief Officer, leading a deck crew of five in the completion of final projects following the shipyard period. Successfully ensured the yacht’s readiness for a prestigious boss trip at the America's Cup in Barcelona, focusing on effective communication and high standards of preparation for a smooth operational launch.

Talisman C

During my time as the 2nd Officer, I was responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the deck department as well as for strategic workload planning for this commercially operated, dual season, busy yacht. Further to the usual responsibilities as a second officer, I acted as Chief Officer on several occasions, including a 2 Month paternity cover. I was fortunate to work with a seasoned Captain and Chief Officer who were both very happy to grow my knowledge and responsibilities. I gained experience of all ISM, ISPS and MLC related legislation and associated tasks, this included onboard procedures as well as Shipyard SMS bridging assessments. My experience aboard Talisman C allowed me to refine my ability to lead and manage teams effectively, fostering a positive and productive environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety protocols.
