My main responsibilities included daily maintenance of the deck and exterior areas, such as washing, polishing, and general upkeep of all deck equipment to ensure the vessel was always in excellent condition. I was responsible for handling mooring lines, fenders, and anchoring gear during arrivals and departures, contributing to smooth and safe docking procedures. I assisted with passenger embarkation and disembarkation, managed luggage, and provided support to guests, ensuring a positive experience on board. As a certified helmsman (STCW II/4), I was responsible for steering the vessel under the captain’s supervision. I assisted with navigational watches and supported deck operations as needed. I also conducted night watches and safety rounds in compliance with the ship’s safety protocols. In addition to my deck duties, I helped with provisioning and supply management during port calls, ensuring the vessel was fully stocked and ready for each voyage. Throughout my time on board, I worked closely with the captain and other crew members, demonstrating strong teamwork, reliability, physical endurance, and a professional attitude necessary for passenger cruising.
