I have extensive experience as an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO), managing and maintaining complex electrical and automation systems on large-scale vessels, including luxury yachts, LNG carriers, and cruise ships. 1st ETO
CurrentManaged all electrical systems in the engine room on a 240m vessel ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Supported four trips per month each lasting seven days maintaining uninterrupted electrical operations. Engaged with guests during twice-weekly dinners contributing to a positive onboard experience by ensuring all systems operated seamlessly. Conducted routine LNG system maintenance adhering to safety and operational standards. Oversaw and supervised a team of five ETOs delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow. Utilized Ship Sure as the primary PMS complemented by Excel for data tracking and management. Integrated Lutron lighting systems with DALI protocol to optimize lighting control and efficiency.
Project Engineer/Automation Engineer
Led the refit and preparation of Höegh Galleon for the FSRU project in Ain Sokhna, Egypt. Commissioned the regasification system ensuring full operational readiness. Maintained all electrical systems onboard ensuring reliability during both refit and full-service operations. Split time between shipyard refit and active regasification operations supporting the vessel in full service. Contributed to completing projects on time and under budget by optimizing crew efforts and resource allocation.
1st ETO
Maintained all electrical and machinery equipment in the engine room, including reverse osmosis systems, Wartsila DG systems, and Wartsila Platinum automation systems. Maintained and serviced bridge equipment, including Consilium, Furuno, and Wartsila Nacos systems. Served as part of the commissioning team for Regent Mariner and Oceania Vista, traveling and working in shipyards. Led and supervised a team of 12 ETOs. Assisted with new build projects at Fincantieri Genoa, all completed on time and within budget. Utilized AMOS and Excel for maintenance tracking and vessel management. Gained experience in maintaining TVRO systems.
