Experience
2nd Engineer
CurrentWorked in an engineering team of 4 to maintain the vessel to the highest standards. MTU 4000 series main engines and generators, Naiad stabilizers, YMS planned maintenance system. Omniyon AVIT system. Training the 3rd engineer in safe working practices, regulations, and career development.
2nd Engineer (Relief C/Eng)
Undertook engineering watches and assisted the chief engineer in all aspects of maintaining the vessel including the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and AV/IT systems. Relieved the chief engineers during their leave periods and ran the department as sole engineer including guest trips, deliveries and keeping the PMS (DeepBlue) up to date as well as attending to any unplanned breakdowns. Assisted in the planning and execution of a 6 month yard period including ordering of parts, planning of works, management of contractors, compilation of daily reports, and tracking of inventory.
Deck Engineer
Involved in the completion of a 5 year survey including main engine overhauls, pump and valve rebuilds and recommissioning. Undertook engineering watches and assisted the chief engineer with maintaining the yacht and tenders including Sea-Doos, Nautique G25, large chase boat and jet rescue tender as well as AV/IT and electrical system troubleshooting and upgrades (hybrid electric vessel). Skippered a 10m Ribco during the season as well as watersports, washdowns and general guest interaction.
