Proactively monitor the health of all network systems and applications daily to ensure peak performance. Conducting regular and scheduled backup of all server-based systems on board. Responsible for all embarkation and disembarkation processes related to the informatics technologies, system connectivity and communication with all software related to PMS and POS. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure reliability, integrity, and availability / automation of all system throughout the ship. Ensuring that all guest and employee technology, communications and media are delivered at optimum capacity at all times. Supervision of all network storage (Music, files, photographs) and company policies relating to the use of the internet, and report the “out of politics“ trends. Knowledge of all aspect of on-board technology and informatics technologies. operations, including, but not limited to, procedures, server, infrastructure, network and telephony infrastructure, primary and secondary satellite communications, workstations (Desktops and laptops), portable devices and all associated peripherals. Issue escalation, reporting and tracking high and critical issues for appropriate management aboard and ashore. Monitoring and regulatory analysis of incident tickets of all priorities in the incident management system on board and ashore. Examination, and implementation – where applicable – ensuring the competition of all modification requests for on-board systems. Prepare requests and projects and forward them to the Hotel Manager for final approval. Check that items are properly stored to minimize spoilage and waste.

Administration of Windows servers and domains, management of Microsoft Windows Server systems, administration in virtualized environments with VMware, administration and configuration of network devices and connectivity solutions (LAN, VPN). Configuration and setup of user accounts and permissions within domains and company services. Internal backup and antivirus management. Basic maintenance of hardware peripherals.

Management, integrity and operation of the ship’s I.T. systems and networks, including SPMS and other computerized cashless systems, management integrity and operation of O.T. systems and control systems on board, including their associated networks. Responsible for the integrity of all network and stand-alone computers and peripherals on board, and ensuring cyber security of the ship’s I.T. and O.T. systems in collaboration with shoreside resources and 3rd party suppliers, in additional, prevent, detect, respond to, recover from, and investigate cyber security incidents on board. My position includes all aspects of the operation, including the receipt of new cruise data, electronic survey and set-up of LAN devices at embarkation. Transmission and receipt of credit approvals and/or rejections/referrals, daily management of the data transfer systems, and the integrity of information for electronic checkout of guests at the end of the cruise.
