Junior Stewardess
All rounder stewardess in housekeeping, laundry and assist with service when required. Safety training and drills. On-watch responsibilities and security checks. Wardrobe management. Silver, brass and stainless steel polishing. Accompany guests on excursions, dining and activities.
Day Work
Mainly did deck work. Washdowns, varnishing and polishing. Anchor and lifting procedures, night watch and tender operations. We had to take turns to prepare and serve meals, clean and maintain crew mess area.
Interior Training
Spent the day learning about turn ups and turn down, detailing and methods for polishing and cleaning. Each participant was given a cabin or space of interior to complete. Learned about different service styles, culinary dictionary, napkin folding and care of cutlery and glassware.
