Greetings, I’m Riccardo, 25 years old from northern Italy, over the past year I’ve worked as a deckhand on a 50m private and charter motor yacht. I’ve gained solid experience in shipyard maintenance — including a full dry dock period — and in core deck operations during the summer season. My daily duties have included washdowns, teak care, polishing, rust treatment, line handling, tender operations, luggage handling, guest assistance, and preparing toys, always ensuring exterior areas remain guest-ready. In the shipyard, I developed practical carpentry skills such as sanding, filling, and refinishing, which I approach with precision and attention to detail. The vessel is provided with a 12m (40ft) chase boat, and I had the opportunity to work on it, assisting with docking, fenders, cleaning, and guest service. I hold STCW, ENG1, PDSD, RYA Powerboat Level 2, and an Italian Boat License. I’m also a PADI Rescue Diver with Oxygen Provider and Dry Suit specialties. My next goals include Yacht Rating, PWC, and PWCI courses, and ultimately Yachtmaster and Divemaster qualifications. At 18 I founded a hospitality startup, which built resilience, problem-solving ability, and a guest-focused mindset. Later, I launched a web development company that strengthened my accuracy and IT troubleshooting skills, which have proved useful onboard. I bring a fit, energetic, and positive attitude, eager to learn from experienced crew and committed to longevity. I’m maintaining high presentation standards throughout guest trips—handling luggage, helping with embarkation and disembarkation, and making sure all exterior areas are guest-ready.
