Worked on a high volume daily charter boat, managing constant guest turnarounds and ensuring the vessel was perfectly cleaned and reset between trips. Responsible for daily wash downs and polishing stainless steel to make sure the boat always looked its best. Worked with the deck team to safely set, secure and retrieve the anchor and handle lines when docking. Helped serving all meals and drinks to guests with a focus on timing and etiquette. This included making cocktails and providing professional wine service.

Gained hands on experience in multi stage machine polishing, oxidation removal and the application of protective ceramic coatings to gelcoat and stainless steel. Developed a practical understanding of marine-grade chemicals and their safe application on delicate surfaces including teak, upholstery and specialised finishes. Assisted in the technical commissioning of new vessels, ensuring all onboard systems, safety equipment and cosmetic finishes met strict delivery standards.

Served as Relief Skipper/Mate on a private 11m sailing yacht, taking full responsibility for the vessel, navigation and crew safety during coastal passages. Acted as Skipper for 350nm of coastal passages, taking full responsibility for the vessel and crew. Maintained the yacht to high standards, performing regular mechanical and rigging checks to ensure the vessel was safe for the passages.
