Oversee battery banks, inverter systems, and charging infrastructure to ensure balanced energy management across both hulls. Install and troubleshoot navigation and communication systems such as GPS, radar, autopilot, VHF radios, and AIS. Integrate and maintain renewable energy systems including solar panels and charge controllers for sustainable onboard power. Ensure correct installation and operation of bilge systems, HVAC units, lighting circuits (interior/exterior), and sailing automation technologies like electric winches and watermakers. Conduct electrical testing and diagnostics using multimeters and industry-standard tools to ensure system performance and compliance. Maintain a high level of proficiency in marine AC/DC systems and power distribution, delivering safe and reliable electrical solutions for high-performance catamarans like Balance Yachts.

Install, maintain, repair, and replace marine electrical (AC/DC) and electronic systems for boats. Wiring of entertainment (stereo/amp/speakers) systems. Wire Victron 220V and 110V inverters. Build and wire switch panels. Route NMEA 2000 cables and install B&G navigation instruments and systems. Route backbone cables and install Raymarine navigation instruments. Complete timesheets and job cards correctly. Sign off electrical systems on catamarans.

Installs conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws, using hand tools, and threads wires through the conduit to terminals, for example, connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels. Tests electrical characteristics, for example, voltage, resistance, and phase angle in circuits, using a multimeter. May also construct fuse and main panels using hand tools, rulers, dividers, and power drills, following specifications. Troubleshoots electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and carry out required maintenance, repairs, or replacements. Performs maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarms, and lighting circuits. Conducts insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine the condition and identify the need for repairs or replacements. Assists and participates in the installation and/or alteration of electrical systems aboard ships. Connects wiring equipment; installs or replaces control and distribution apparatus such as switches and circuit-breaker panels; connects power cables to equipment.
