Shannon Pretorius

Served as the only floater between Service and Housekeeping onboard Seven Seas for 10 months, gaining invaluable experience and insights into guest preferences in both departments. This role allowed me to develop a strong passion for both areas and significantly enhance my skills. My enthusiasm for Housekeeping and service has deepened, and I am eager to continue building on this experience.

I worked onboard Chopi Chopi for 1 year and 10 months, rotating through housekeeping, service and laundry. I was the stewardess in charge of breakfast service and had the pleasure working one on one with 22+ guests and requests. Guests experience is at the core of everything I do. I have a excellent rapport with the guests on Chopi, proven by the fact that I have worked for the family both onboard as well as at their family Villa in Saint-Jean, assisting with important family events. Onboard Chopi I completed room turn up and turn downs, bathroom maintenance and laundry allocating. Pre seasons I was taught how to get the boat up to standard and guest ready. I carry skills in deep cleaning and detailing in all crew and guests areas and have ample experience in extended shipyard periods.

The full training day with SYNC on M/Y Princess Emma consisted with Housekeeping and preparing the boat for the next charter guests. I learnt which products is the best to use on surfaces such as marble, glass, wood and leather. We went through a typical day doing turn up and turn downs.
