I am an experienced captain who has worked aboard schooners and modern sailboats operating day sails and private charters. I'm looking to transition into yachting and believe that my passion, experience and skills would make me a valuable crewmember. As a sailing instructor and charter captain, I have had the privilege of teaching and guiding others while always prioritizing guests' safety and enjoyment. With an environmental science degree, I'm deeply committed to sustainable practices at sea. I thrive on attention to detail and have extensive experience with offshore deliveries and cruising as well as high-end charters. I always strive to provide the best possible experience for every guest. I am reliable, approachable, willing to learn and dedicated to ensuring smooth and memorable journeys.

Experience
Charter Captain and Sailing Instructor
Maintained and operated the Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 singlehanded with up to six guests. Instructed novice sailors for ASA courses 101-104. Selected charter route and planned anchorages and shore leaves based on conditions. Taught sail handling, bareboating skills, and emergency drills. Navigated busy harbors for docking and anchoring.
First Mate and Eco-Tour Guide
Responsible for the safety and enjoyment of up to 30 guests on half-day trips. Worked as the sole crewmember providing in-depth narration for whale watching tours and snorkel tours. Cleaned and organized all equipment and performed outstanding customer service.
Schooner Captain
CurrentPiloted the 80-foot schooner Adirondack III with up to 41 guests in Boston Harbor for five 2-hour day sails per day and the 90-foot Adirondack IV with up to 75 guests for four 2-hour days sails per day. Planned and managed boat deliveries between Boston and New York twice each year. Trained and managed the deck crew, inspected and maintained the vessels' rigging and machinery, provided informative tours and ensured outstanding customer service.
