Deckhand
Came onto Virtuosity just for some temporary work as one of the deckhands had gone on medical leave. Completed 5 back to back charters to finish off the Med season. This contained the usual hustle of tender op's, mooring op's, anchoring and guest entertainment. Completed 3 weeks of shipyard in Livorno, Italy completing numerous paint touch up jobs, reorganising washdown lockers and formulating a new inventory stock list.
Senior Deckhand
Completed 3 charter seasons held in both the Med and Caribbean. Completed 4 Atlantic crossings. Shipyard in both Genoa and Savannah where paintwork and varnishing were the main projects conducted by the deck team. Competent tender driver for twin prop inboard, outboard, jet drive or single prop tenders. Inflatable water park setups for charter guests. Jetski's, tubing, awake's and efoiling experience. Numerous different beach setups. Providing Microsoft Excel spreadsheet assistance for officers as well as the purser to organise IPM's, generate crew lists using formulas, construct inventory planning.
Deckhand
Performed numerous painting procedures: Fairing, 545, Topcoats (rolling and tipping), Danboline and Hammerite. Learnt how to apply sika products (UV295, 2500 and 3500) to various use cases (between windows, teak and metal). Conducted numerous morning setups, night shifts, working both outboard and aloft for cleaning and maintenance jobs. Undertaken numerous Part 1, Part 2 and Eco-100 teak cleaning procedures to renew teak. Competent driving both single outboard tenders as well as twin prop with a bow thruster. Competent conducting all anchoring procedures and communicating to the bridge. Driver/chauffeur during the med season where I gained experience of handling guests and high pressure situations. Watchkeeping responsibilities (Atlantic crossing).
