As Second Officer, I was responsible for: - Safe navigation and watchkeeping (0000-0400 / 1200-1600) - Preparing and updating the Voyage Plan - Acting as GMDSS operator - Preparing and sending Noon Reports - Managing the Ship’s Hospital and Stationery - Commanding the Forward Mooring Station during mooring/unmooring operations and anchoring operations - Supervising the Deck Team during port operations - Liaising with the Office, Agents, and Port Authorities. Throughout the contract, I actively developed my management skills by assisting the Chief Officer in daily planning and supervision of the Deck Team. I also contributed to both short-term and long-term maintenance planning, improving my understanding of vessel operations and team coordination.

Responsible for navigation, passage planning, deck maintenance, safety procedures and crew coordination ensuring efficient and compliant vessel operations. Throughout the contract, I developed my understanding of ship stability by assisting the Chief Officer with the preparation of Stowage Plans and managing Ballast Operations during cargo handling. I was also actively involved in preparing Loading and Discharging Plans.

Responsible for navigation, passage planning, deck maintenance, safety procedures and crew coordination ensuring efficient and compliant vessel operations. As it was my first contract in this position, I focused on applying and refining my theoretical knowledge through practice, particularly in voyage planning and preparing reports, in order to achieve a high level of proficiency.
