Deckhand
M/Y Rita is a classic 1965 tugboat converted into a yacht in 2020, operating primarily in Northern Sardinia and Bonifacio, with Olbia as home port. As deckhand, I was responsible for all exterior maintenance and daily deck operations, including washdowns, line handling, fender management, varnishing, rust removal, painting, and general upkeep to maintain a high presentation standard. I operated a 5m outboard RIB tender for guest transfers, shore runs, and watersports activities, ensuring safe and professional guest experiences. Additional duties included beach setups, watersports supervision, and assisting our sole stewardess with guest service when required. The role required strong seamanship, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a small crew environment.
