About

I have hands-on experience in deck operations and I am eager to bring my strong work ethic, versatility, and passion for yachting to your crew. I am looking for longevity and growth, with a desire to level up and make a real career out of this industry. Currently working towards my Yachtmaster and OOW certifications, I am also exploring the engineering route to further enhance my skills. Additionally, I have experience cooking for crew, making me adaptable to multiple roles onboard. I see myself as a hard worker that achieves everything tasked to me, I am hands on and willing to work the long hours required sometimes. I know it is not an easy job but I consider myself tough skinned and respectful of hierarchy, I like to keep a well oiled ship. Beyond my deckhand skills, I have a solid foundation in administration, having managed a bar and kitchen with a team of 25 staff as well as maintenance and carpentry experience whilst working land based jobs in house maintenance and student accommodation. This experience has honed my leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities—essential traits for maintaining a well-run vessel. Furthermore, I recently contributed to a full refit of a 43m motor yacht, deepening my understanding of vessel maintenance, restoration and mechanics. Fluent in English and holding both B1/B2 and Schengen visas, I am ready to relocate as needed. My Irish passport is expected to arrive by February 28, 2025. Currently based in the Netherlands, I am available and eager to contribute to a professional and dynamic team.
